MISSION STATEMENT OF THE COMMITTEE OF ICE OWNERS:
1. To develop an environment of transparency and trust:
a. By creating a new by-laws to allow all owners to inspect proxy forms used for voting at the owner's meetings without any redaction of the unit and name of owner. The voting preferences must be redacted.. This will also prevent any fraud or misuse of the owner's rights to vote.
Such a by-law can be created by a condominium corporation, as is evident from the para [9] of this decision of Condominium Authority Tribunal.
b. By creating a new by-laws to allow all owners to participate in the management of the building, by conducting a referendum prior to making any major contractual decisions.
2. To improve financial efficiency and reduce certain condominium expenses by up to 50%:
a. By creating a transparent and fair competitive bidding process and contract awards by owner's participative consultation.
b. By creating an owner's only platform for implementation of changes required to address the elevator failures, Heating and air condition system failures, plumbing issues and security issues.
3. To make the ICE condominiums, the best managed condominium in Toronto in terms of performance, financial efficiency and community focus.
a. By creating a highly safe and secure environment for all the residents.
b. By bringing in operational efficiencies for all tasks and security aspects that can be automated
c. By identifying revenue generating business opportunities that will benefit all the owners directly as well as help in further substantially reducing the condominium fees.
